Welcome to the Department of Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University, where our faculty promote student personal and professional success by providing the best possible academic experience in and out of the classroom. Our diversely trained faculty have expertise in many different areas of psychology and welcome the opportunity to guide you through the scientific study of mind and behavior.

Approximately 40 faculty, 18 adjuncts, and 3 full-time office staff serve our 1000+ undergraduate majors, nearly 100 graduate students, and hundreds of university students completing General Education requirements and minors. Our class sizes are small to facilitate much student-faculty interaction. Students in our department have many opportunities outside of the classroom:
- Undergraduate internships, apprenticeships, and research involvement;
- Student clubs and organizations;
- Study Abroad
